My Philosophy

Everyone wants to eat healther. It is easy to find different recipes, meal plans, books and programmes. Simply go online and millions results come up. The most difficult part is to keep it on for a certain period of time before you can see the result.

I don't say pray to thank god for the feast. However since I was a kid, my grandparents and my parents taught me "every pieces of rices are grown by the hardworking farmers". We should treasure the food we have, thankful for people who grow the food for us, thankful for those who cook for me.

Living in the First World, we enjoy the luxury of options,

  • Choosing what we WANT to eat rather than what we NEED to eat.
  • Skipping meals because we don't want to eat rather than we run out of food.
  • Looking for new restaurant in town or for hidden gem, rather than walking miles to hunt for foods like the first people in the world.
  • Knowing fast food are not good for human being but we choose to eat them (My wish at 10 years old was to eat Sausage and Egg MacMuffin for every breakfast).

I love pasta and fried rice. Sweets, chocolates, ice-cream and any dessert are the comfort food. What's the purpose of life if you don't eat.

If there are food/ingredient that you don't like to eat, you should try not to order the dish at all, instead of picking it out from the plate.

If there are too many leftover from your cooking, plan better next time before food shopping/ cooking. (I am still working on it).

I am still looking for a balanced diet that :
- I can eat for a certain period of time
- I don't need to give up eating certain of food
- I can get it easily in the grocery store
- create less food wastes.

I am not perfect. What I think great may not be what you agree with. I hope sharing my experience is helpful for your decision making.

Happy Eating  xxx
